Description

The Alms house was a shelter for the homeless.  It was self contained.  The patrons raised and prepared all the food for their sustenance.  It was run by Smith Wood, a prominent business man from the Town of Caldwell.. His title was “the Superintendent of the Poor House in Warren County..

The names floating in the work are the people who found a home at the Alms house.  There is a grave yard near by that acknowledges their life.
