GELLIPLATE WORKSHOP: July 24 11am-1pm Bring Lunch Fee $50 includes all materials-participants are welcome to bring their own as well Join us for an exciting workshop that will explore the many techniques of Gelli Plate Printing. Gelli Plate Printing is a wonderfully expressive and versatile hand printing technique that is done without a press. Prints can be created on a variety of papers and fabrics with acrylic paint or printing inks. This form of printmaking is suitable for all ages and levels of expertise. During this workshop participants will create single layer and multi-layer monotypes. Participants will use stencils, household items, and foliage to create beautiful textures and explore color to create opaque and transparent layers.

SOLARPLATE ETCHING WORKSHOP: Demonstration @ Birds of a Feather Gallery August 15 2-day Workshop at the artist’s studio August 21-22 11am- 1:30pm Bring Lunch Fee $150 includes all materials Learn the incredibly versatile and environmentally friendly method of printmaking called Solarplate etching. Beginner and seasoned artists alike will enjoy exploring this exciting, non-toxic medium. Solarplate etching utilizes a thin steel plate that is coated with a UV light sensitive photopolymer. All that is needed to create a plate is sunlight, water, and your imagination! No harsh chemicals or solvents involved. Artists will explore various materials and learn a variety of ways to create unique plates and prints.

Betty Edwards taught that anyone can draw. In a very scientific way, she derived a way to understand the brain and how it works to understand its hindrances and gifts. I will take you through drawing excersizes based on her studies. All you need is the desire to try. You will need a sketchbook soft and hard leaded pencils ( B=soft H+hard),erasure and pencil sharpener. This will be a six week one and a half hour long class. Cost is $25 per class discounted to 100 if paid in full at beginning of class.

Join us for a sound healing meditation with David Vredenberg practitioner. This is a very deep meditative practice that will bring you into a very deep space.
