Ed Wilson, Harvard professor, was the main focus of my residency at the University of Minnesota.  He passed away in December of 2021. He was also considered the “New Darwin” because of his field research studies and his discoveries therewith.  This is oil on canvas, mixed medium, 22”x28” image.  He is being carted off to his final resting place by ants.  Myremecodia plants hang on to him protecting him.
